Black tea is made from a plant called Camellia Sinensis Assamica. Black tea is also known as Kadak chai (strong tea) in India. It is processed and turned into either of the two mentioned below:
- CTC TEA
- ORTHODOX TEA
Crush, tear, curl is the process of turning tea leaves into small, hard pellets using machinery, and are easy to diffuse with or without milk. It is the most common type of tea used in India. It is also the cheapest form of tea. Meanwhile Orthodox tea is usually hand processed which is used for high quality teas.

- Ideal Temperature for Black tea is 90-95ºC
- Brewing time – 3 minutes for a strong flavor
